Apparel: She mostly wears blue, purple, silver and black. Most of the time she wears her school uniform when she's in school and wandering around town, but when she isn't at school, she wears dark denim shorts that reach an inch above her mid-thigh and a dark blue v-neck shirt with a black tanktop underneath. She wears a few bracelets on each wrist as well.

Personality: Shizumi is quiet at first sight, hence the 'shizu' in her name, which means quiet, and she mostly keeps to herself. She appears to be shy and soft-spoken when she is introduced to new people, but once you get to know her, she's friendly, bubbly, energetic and outgoing. She acts more like herself around friends, but she is very polite to strangers and new people who she doesn't know, unless they are dangerous and pose a threat to her friends. She appears weak and fragile, but that is her useful advantage over her. She's swift, clever and agile, and knows very well how to fight and protect herself as well as her friends and others who don't deserve to be harmed. This innocent looking girl can turn hostile and dangerous once you make the mistake of harming those important to her. She's a little insecure about her true heritage, so she tends to hide her ears under her hair and tuck her tail away when she's walking around town, unless she's with someone who she trusts won't judge her for the cat ears and tail.

Habits: She tugs at her bracelets when nervous, and tends to pace around when she's restless. When she's in class and gets bored or restless, she twirls her mechanical pencil in her hand or sharpens her wood pencil more than she should.
Likes: She loves to write, read and draw. When she's not with her friends at school, or she feels like being quiet, she reads, writes, or draws under a little cherry blossom tree in front of a little river. She enjoys hanging out with her friends as well. She enjoys Theatre and acting as well, and always likes to go see plays, especialy with a few friends.

Dislikes: She hates math and having to learn a new formula or math lesson right after she finally started to understand the previous one, and she hates having to sit through the lessons. She hates when people in the school start up pointess arguments and fights just to take their anger out on others, and she also hates it when they start drama, just to get attention. She dislikes it when people are rude to kind storekeepers and elderly people.

Hometown: A village a few miles from where she lives now. It was called 'The Village of Snow', which is in her last name.

History: Shizumi grew up with her little sister Chouko, and was raised by her mother, Mizuki. Her father had died from an illness a few months before her birth. She and her sister had been born a neko, as well as a few other children in their village. Shizumi cared very deeply for her mother and little sister, and wanted to protect them with her heart and ensure their safety. To do this, she learned how to fight and defend herself in school and practiced hard to achieve the fighting ability she has now. Her older cousin always helped her with her training, as well as helped her with school when she didn't understand something. When Shizumi was 12, a horrible fire started in the village and spread through the entire town, destroying everything that had been built, along with their long history. The town had been asleep when the fire started, and how it did start was a mystery. Shizumi and her cousin had tried to save Mizuki and Chouko, but the cruel amber flames had swallowed the house up before they could save them. Filled with pain at losing the two people who were very dear to her, Shizumi ran away from the flames with her cousin, hoping to meet up with the rest of the village. After a few hours when the flames went down, they returned, horrified to see that they were the only two survivors. For two years, she and her cousin continued to live on together, finding an abandoned house and living in it, trying to recover from the shock and pain at losing the home that they had lived in for their whole lives. They had been managing well with their new life until one day Shizumi came back to the house to find her cousin fighting two unknown strangers who had tried to force her out of the house so that they could live there. Shizumi threw herself into the fight, fighting hard to help defend her cousin and the house they had made their lives in now. At one point, one of the strangers had hurled Shizumi against a tree and advanced on her, ready to give a killing blow. Shizumi's head swam with dizziness, and she had braced herself for the death, refusing to cry out in desperation, not wanting to die begging at his mercy. She fought against the dizzzying blackness enclosing in on her like a cruel black wave and lifted her head high, ready for the killing blow that would end her life. To her horror and despair, her cousin had thrown herself in front of her to protect her and instead took the killing blow and slumped to the ground dead, eyes glazed with death as her body began to go cold. That was what Shizumi saw before she blacked out. When she woke up, her cousins body was gone, and Shizumi ran, shattered in grief at losing the last person dear to her...the person who had taken death to save her. From that moment on, Shizumi blamed herself for her cousin's death. A few months later, she came to the Neko World, where she was surprised to see people like her own kind with cat ears and tails, as well as other races other than humans. She promised that she would never forget her old village, her mother and sister, or her cousin, and began her new life off with a fresh start in this new world.
