Personality: Zeref is a rather odd demon, he isn't consumed by evil or anything, he is just a free spirit and doesn't even see himself as anything special, for the most part he sees himself as the lowest being but that doesn't mean he mistreats himself or looks down on himself either, he is just very humble in nature. Sometimes he is very talkative and friendly and other times he is quite and likes to keep to himself, he takes naps often especially in the forests where he can lay among the trees and leaves staring at the sky and relaxing without having to worry about anything that is out there. Zeref is kinda to woman but treats men as he treats himself, hey must earn respect among all else and for friendship they must show that they are trust worthy and not annoying but Zeref can get along with lots of different kinds of people at the same time it all just depends on his mood really. He protects the things that are dear to him above all else and would never try to back stab anyone, he would feel sick and start to hate himself if he did, he has a guilty conscience because of some of the things he had done in the past, he is mostly trying to repent for past wrong doings but he doesn't tell many people about himself and his past often trying to pass off as your average 18 year old boy but he is actually 700.

Enhanced Durability: Zeref seems to be physically powerful as well. When Natsu, who is known for being strong, punched him in the face, Zeref just took the hit and somersaulted back on his feet in mid air. The punch seemed to have no effect on him and he had no bruise or marking on his face. He also took a blast from Zancrow's God Slayer magic while unconscious with no harm being done to him at all. This indicates that Zeref is not as frail as he looks.

History: Zeref came into the world 700 years ago, when he was young he was an extremely powerful demon who ravaged the lands, his main power was creating demons such as Delior to destroy the world along with his powerful death magic, at one point he managed to begin to decay the entire earth and is well known as Zeref the black to this day. He was sealed within a magical grave 300 year ago after his 400 year long rampage destroying and crushing his opponents, this magical grave was so powerful not even Zeref himself could break out of it at his full power which was impressive, the coffin was forged by over 100 of the world most powerful mages. Soon after Zerefs imprisonment in the coffin a cult began trying to revive him called "Grimoire Hearts" and they stopped at nothing to revive him buy they made a major miscalculation, while Zeref was imprisoned he changed a bit, he started to lose his lust for destruction and started to recognized truths like the fact that he loved nature and that it was unfortunate that his power involved killing that very things, he was a most unfortunate person indeed but he changed for the better, after Grimoire Hearts succeeded in reviving him hoping to cause the end of the world and let his reign begin again they were sadly killed without mercy by Zeref and that was the last act of evil he said he would to as long as he could help it because he wanted to become good, live his endless life as best as he could.
